He was on Rich Eisen's show last week. Eisen posted the clip on Twitter.

I guess I'd have to see the "ratings" of where it stacks up, but Growing Pains was one of the most underrated shows of the '80s. At least it felt like I was one of the only ones watching in my school.

I looked it up. The show was ranked eighth in its second season (1986-87) and fifth in its third season before dropping to the teens and 20s before falling off a cliff in the last season. The drop off coincided around when the kids grew up, they brought the baby into the show, had her gain about five years of age in one year, then added homeless Leo DiCaprio.

I was surprised the show had lasted until 1992, as, like many, I lost interest by the late 80s. It was a very good show at its peak.

For me, in school, mostly girls talked about the show, as Kirk Cameron being a major heartthrob for teenage girls. The show was on right after "Who's the Boss" which meant many teenage guys (myself included) talked about watching Alyssa Milano (still a 6, BTW).

Let's not forget when the born-again teen idol started throwing his weight around, getting his on-screen girlfriend fired and calling the producers of the show pornographers.

First thing that came to mind was the IRS took him out...

Growing Pains was the go-to sitcom in our house for the first three seasons or so.

Was it on Monday nights? I know Thursdays was NBC with Cosby/Different World/Cheers/Night Court/LA Law. Everybody watched that night.

Only old people watched CBS back then.

ABC had me for some of those nights between Growing Pains and, especially, Moonlighting. Wonder Years came along soon after - another must watch.

I don't think it was on same night as Monday Night Football. But my memory might not have it right. I am thinking it was a middle of the week show -- Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

His father was my mother's OB/GYN and delivered my sister and I. That's all I got.
His sister is or was a chiropractor in my neck of the Toronto 'burbs which Mr. Bass knows well. Chatted with him a bit years ago when he was in town and having a beer in a pub up the street from his sister's office. Quality hair.

Growing Pains was a big part of my childhood. Seems like only yesterday when Boner tried to get Mike to do cocaine with him.

EDIT: Also, Judith Light was kind of sneaky hot. Oh, and her sister (who was her twin, I think) once posed in Playboy.

Didn't know the actor was Koenig's son, but the character's dad was "Sylvester Stabone. "
