RIP Alan Thicke

Saw him on an episode of "Fuller House" that my wife was watching over the weekend and he looked really old.

Didn't know that prior to his acting career taking off, he wrote a number of TV show themes and game show themes, including the original theme for "Wheel of Fortune."

RIP.

First heard of him back in the 198os when he was given a talk show that was hyped to be a challenger to Johnny Carson's late-night throne. Like most others, it didn't succeed, but he came back in a big way with "Growing Pains."

RIP

Spawned robin thicke...can't win them all.

Also, was tweeting about fuller house just a few hours ago.

He was just on Dan Patrick's show last week.

Also on with Dan Le Batard the other day. They asked him about writing Different Strokes and other theme songs. He replied something to the effect of "yeah, and I never had to pay a dime to Marvin Gaye's family either."

I also just read on Wikipedia that Wayne Gretzky was baby sitting young Robin when he found out the Oilers traded him to LA.

I guess I'd have to see the "ratings" of where it stacks up, but Growing Pains was one of the most underrated shows of the '80s. At least it felt like I was one of the only ones watching in my school.

I didn't watch Growing Pains so wasn't a big Thicke fan from his shows but he seemed like a good guy.

Saw a few different things with him and his son and they seemed to have a good relationship, remember TMZ I think showing a clip of them still kissing each other good bye.

Cool that him and his son were having a skate.
