Six days until kickoff of Giants-Cowboys.

Other big games include, well, IT'S THE START OF THE NFL SEASON, EVERY GAME IS AWESOME!

But for space purposes and to get this conversation started, here are a few matchups:

Colts-Bears: Luck's debut
Jets-Bills: Perhaps the debut of New York's offense, but probably not
Redskins-Saints: RG3's debut; how will Saints adjust to playing under the interim interim coach
Packers-49ers: Green Bay begins defense of its ... oh, nevermind

Re: NFL Week 1

Where the ****ing **** is the Steelers/Broncos game?

Where the ****ing **** **** is the fun thread title?

Re: NFL Week 1

Oh, did I forget the game involving the Steelers? My bad. Also, in honor of that Sunday night matchup, I'll update the thread title.

Bears, Bills, Redskins, Packers.

Where do I pick up my money?

I didn't know, or forgot, until reading this thread that the opening night game is on a Wednesday instead of Thursday. What stupidity. Just start them all on Sunday with one Monday night game.

It would have been the traditional Thursday but for the stupid Democratic Party!

I hate that they have a game like Packers-Niners in Week 1.

It's Week 1, we can get geeked up over any game, why waste a game of that magnitude so early on? It it was the kickoff game, I'd understand, but why?

Just stupid.

The Thursday slate is cool because it allows me to watch most of a game on a given week, but I guarantee you by Week 6, people will be bitching and moaning about the schedule.

People ***** and moan about everything.

They ALWAYS have a good number of top-shelf matchups in Week 1. For one thing, it helps backload the divisional games in December. For another, it makes their broadcasting partners happy. I mean, without Sunday Night Football, NBC is getting outrated by the Food Network.

OH GOD WHERE DO I BEGIN I LOVE IT ALL!!!!!!!!!

FOOTBAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

RG3 is getting 8.5 in New Orleans.
Luck is getting 9.5 in Chicago.

Soooooooo tempting......

Cleveland is the biggest home dog at 7.5 against the Eagles.

New England laying 6 at Tennessee might be my top play.

I'll watch almost any NFL game on Thursday night... By Monday night, after college games on Saturday and NFL on Sunday, I'm burned out and will only watch if it's one of my teams or a marquee matchup, and those good matchups are a lot more rare since they changed the setup.

If they moved the MNF games back to like 7:30, or even 8, I'd watch way more often. My old ass can't be staying up past midnight to watch the Falcons and the Bucs.
