NFL MVP

With two weeks left, I figured I would start the discussion. In your opinion, who do you believe deserves the NFL MVP this season?

Throwing out a few names out there:

Jamaal Charles
Peyton Manning
Russell Wilson

Thoughts?

Peyton Manning. Probably unanimously.

It'll be Peyton Manning.

Russell Wilson deserves more consideration than he'll get. So does Cam Newton.

As hot as Manning was to start he's starting to get frost bite.
Wilson is deserving without question.

Take the starting QB off a winning team and you get a losing team, so the argument that if you took Manning or Brady or Wilson away their teams would lose is nothing but the definition of a good QB.

Cam Newton is the biggest difference maker this year for a good team

I think it should come down to Charles and Manning. If Chiefs end up with the No. 1 seed, it should be Charles. Otherwise, Manning.

Since what I think doesn't matter, it'll be Manning in a landslide.

I like Newton a lot but his defense has a hell of a lot to do with Caroliona's record. Plus, he'll be out the league in 5 years and isn't worth a third round pick so I can't vote for him.

Really, I don't get the arguments for somebody else getting the award when Manning has been on a record pace all season and, just when people think it's not going to happen, he comes right back and answers his critics.

There are other NFL awards in which the race is closer and debate can be held. Offensive Rookie of the Year is one (strong cases for Eddie Lacy and Giovanni Bernard) and so is Defensive Player of the Year (Robert Mathis and Robert Quinn are both good candidates).
