Jordan's out at Washington, ESPN reports.

Damn, between this and the Thunder canning P.J., the course of the NBA has radically changed. ::)

He was hired to be fired anyway. Jordan got hot and lucky when he first began. Unfortunately, he's had a run of bad luck. It also doesn't help that many of the people let go by the Wiz have done well elsewhere.
The franchise, in my opinion, is still reeling from having Michael Jordan run the show a few years back.

If Jordan was allowed to stay around, he would have made Isiah Thomas look like Jerry West.

Yeah, it was such a consistent winner, pre-Jordan.

Looks like the Cavs will have to find a new ***** for the first round of the playoffs.

Well, true. But with Jordan, they didn't exactly look like the Bulls of the 90s either.

This franchise hasn't been relevant since the early 80s has it?
Well they did have the number one overall draft choice once.

The franchise went to hell when it became politically correct.

The Washington Bullets were tough.
I AGREE WITH YOU 1000 PERCENT!!! That name change clearly ****ed the franchise up.They became soft.

If Jeff Ruland playing in short shorts is relevant, then the early '80's it is.

Otherwise, they won a championship in 78 and got to the finals in 79.

After last night, I thought it might be Michael Curry.

106-80 at home? To the Timberwolves?

If anyone actually thought the Pistons were supposed to be better with Iverson replacing Billups, the sight of Randy Foye going for 23 points and 14 assists should have shown them the truth.

You trying to say Iverson doesn't play D? Or that when he struggles on offense his defense is glaringly weak?

Iverson has never done anything for me. Yes, he's a tough little nut with a warrior heart who's lasted longer than he should have because of all the banging he's incurred by his intrepid attacks to the rack all these years.

But he's a terrible jump-shooter and plays pedestrian defense. Will he go to the Hall of Fame? Tough one. Probably. But that doesn't mean he's one of the top 50 or 100 or 200 players ever to play.
