Good job, 30,000 is near the sweet spot for buying a used car, enough miles to dissuade someone from insisting on a top dollar price but close enough to give you a relatively new car.

I actually think its the opposite; most renters just want to get from a to b and don't have time to screw around with the car; that jives with my personal experience on business trips and my buddy who's worked in the car dealerships for 30 years and buys used cars at auctions.

I never knew there was such a thing as dfeer detectors until Saturday. I didn't get one, but maybe I'll look into what's available after market.

I've never heard of deer detectors. I know there are some things you can put on cars that are supposed to scare deer away -- like a deer whistle. But I don't think they really work.

I agree. It's a bit of a myth. The penalties are just too high for people to screw around with rentals
