It's been a while since I've started a car thread

You mentioned reconditioning fees earlier. Why were there these fees when it was totalled? I thought the fees were imposed on used car purchases to fix up the car.

Just because the car was "totaled" does not mean it can't be sold to the next smallpotatoes.

I know a totalled may be bought by a station or other place that can afford the labor and can pay for the parts cheaply. But what does sp"s situation have to do with reconditioning fees? So it's considered totalled, but sp should help to make it not totalled?

sp got suckered into buying a worthless policy. He also rolled his old loan into his current one. Lesson learned for next time.

If I had to guess, sp still hasn't applied for bank or credit union financing.

As I said before, the other option wasn't any better.

30.000, former rental, clean Carfax. Bought it from a Toyota dealership. Their loaners are Toyotas.
Has a backup camera. I've never had a car with one of those.

You'll get used to it.. Wife's suburu has one and she got used to. I drive her car every once in a while and am not used to it. Buddy also said it took about a month, now he can't park w.o using it.

I also checked the exclusions on the gap agreement.
It didn't say anything about denying me for something like the most recent situation.
