With the bowls and NFL season wrapping up and the deadline a little more than two weeks away, seems like time.

Jared Goff and Paxton Lynch officially entered the fray today.

Urban Meyer also said Joey Bosa, Ezekiel Elliott and Cardale Jones are definitely gone (the last two we already knew about).

Robert Nkemdiche in as well.

With TENN not needing a QB and Browns sitting at #2, I'd have seriously considered returning if I was Goff. Getting drafted by the Browns? Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

It's about showing Lynch the money --Leigh Steinberg posted on FB that he signed the QB. Huge get for the recovering alcoholic/reconstituted agent. He has a dozen clients now but nobody of note. Once upon a time he represented eight #1 picks.

BTW, the teams that had scouts watching Goff at the Armed Forces Bowl were Houston, St. Louis, San Diego and Dallas.

Also, since he just threw a TD, I'm going to say that I'm a big Demarcus Ayers (WR, HOU) fan, if he declares.

I don't see a lot of market for one of the top three picks.

I am particularly underwhelmed by Goff. He throws a lot of interceptions even against not-too-great college defenses.

From what I've seen, I think Goff is the best pure passer of those available. But I don't see a ton of Cal games in my thar parts. If I was going to nerd out on QBs I'd watch the Oregon and Utah games to see what the hell happened there.

I caught a few series of Cal-Utah. Goff threw two picks. I've hardly seen anything else of him. Did see a highlight package before Cal's bowl game the other day and he did seem to possess all the tangibles the NFL looks for.

He was spectacular in the bowl. He dropped the deep ball in there perfectly again and again.

Leave it to the Titans to get No. 1 the year it does them the least good. Best player on the board (Bosa) duplicates one of their only strengths and no hot QB prospect to tempt people into trading. Plus there's a decent chance the entire scouting department is unemployed by this time next week and they're starting from scratch.

That's what I heard. I have seen even less of Lynch, but I have to believe the guy playing in the big conference has the edge over the guy playing in a "mid-major." Assume Lynch's performance yesterday didn't help.

We both know that common sense, quarterbacks and the draft don't go together. It's all about PR, and bad NFL teams eat that **** up. Some team or teams will become overly enamored with a QB or three.

Eh, not always. When the Niners drafted Smith, they desperately wanted to trade the pick, but nobody wanted it. Same with the Raiders and the for-the-ages decision between JaMarcus and Brady Quinn.

Feels like this could be one of those years.
