what's the number on board divorces?

Lost track, along with the number of board romances. Of those there have been a bundle.

I'm guessing there's a at least a 5:1 divorce to marriage ratio.
Keep that in mind, YF.

That's one way to avoid the mess of the NATO summit.

I said that on page one. If were were married you would know that. :-*

Congratulations, that's fantastic. Happy for you both. Well, maybe just a little worried for her, but presumably she knows what she's getting into. ;)

Where'd you do it?

We've known each other for five years. She knows I'm actually a good guy.

We got married and stayed at Mandalay Bay. The ceremony was at "Swan Court", which is basically a patio outside of Aureole. There's a little bit of water that has a few swans in it.

Dinner at Aureole followed. Then married sex. Then a couple of beers at Nine Fine Irishman at the New York, New York.

We went to "O" at the Bellagio on Friday night, followed by a late dinner at Scarpetta in the new Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Covered many weddings in Vegas back in my old job, and I would pick Mandalay Bay in a heartbeat as my Vegas marriage location. It's got the professionalism of Bellagio at 2/3rds (or less) the cost.

And I would no doubt party down the next night at 9 Fine Irishmen, too.

Christ, I coulda married YF. And since we know YF's a strong advocate of gay marriage, well...Kill me now.

Are we counting where I set my non-board friend up with a board member through a post on the board? They're married. :D

Congrats, YF!! All the best to you and the missus!

You were drunk enough to get there. My goal was to keep you from marrying a prostitute. Or drunk Homer at the bottom of those stairs.

As has clearly been established elsewhere, I've had 3 days of little sleep so I'm in a whiny mood but can't we wait at least a few pages before talking about divorce in a wedding thread? Jeesh.

Congrats on finally landing some poor worm! #bettemidlerjoke

In all seriousness, congratulations!

YF: Was it planned, or a spur-of-the-moment thing?

We planned it, but we told very few people ahead of time.

Congrats, YF. If I was going to marry, that's the way I'd want to do it. ... not Vegas. But without fanfare.

We considered a few other places, but Vegas made it really simple. Plus, she had never been there, and for all of it's over the top excesses, I still like Vegas. We didn't gamble at all, but we had a beautiful room, saw a show, had some great meals, got a couples massage at an incredible spa, hung out at their beautiful pool, etc.

Congratulations!

What coffee was served at the ceremony??

I don't usually drink coffee after dinner, but I did check to see what the restaurant served, and it was Illy.

The most important question has yet to be asked ....

Is she at least a 6?

A total 10. No joke. Best looking girl I've ever dated.
