Want more evidence that Mike Gundy is a flaming -------?

OSU Insider
Oklahoma State coaches made two pivotal decisions in the final minutes of a loss Saturday night at Texas A&M.
The first decision proved to be genius when OSU's defense forced the Aggie to punt. The second proved costly when a roughing-the-punter penalty prevented the Cowboy offense from having a chance to rally for the win.
OSU trailed 24-23 with 1:57 to play. The Cowboys had one timeout. Texas A&M's punt became a non-issue when Quinton Moore was flagged for roughing the punter.
When asked about the play on Sunday, Gundy wouldn't discuss it, though it was obvious a punt block was called.
"We don't ever talk about calls we make on offense, defense or special teams,” Gundy said. "We would never give out that information. We wouldn't want other teams to know.”

That's a beautiful way to never have to explain why the coaching staff made a horse**** call.
Wonder if that's the spiel he gives T. Boone.

the ****ing guy is an assclown, period.

maybe fanboy chilidog can come defend this action, too.

I hope Jenni Carlson writes about it, just to remind Gundy which one holds the hammer between coach and journalist.

But I do not fault Gundy for trying to gain field position. This isn't middle school football. It's Moore's fault for not executing it properly. Gundy may show his ass on a personal basis, but he's a good coach of football (as opposed to a football coach ... there is a difference).

No way he made the right call. Why risk the penalty that would end the game? Why not just set up the return and let your offense try to get in field goal range?

This guy is trying to wrestle the "Biggest asshole in college football coaching" award from Charlie Weis.

You forgot "journalists" such as JerrySix and lawoman who popped up on the thread to do everything but give Gundy a reacharound.

I hope you guys have a coach someday, and that coach grows up and you have to defend him from ridicule and tell him, 'It's OK, these reporters are supposed to be adults.'

Too funny. Gundy's gonna implode sometime before the end of the regular season.

I can see it now ... hostages, helicopters, bullhorns ... the whole works ... a regular Dog Day Afternoon as Gandy barricades himself inside Eskimo Joe's and demands his own column in the Daily Oklahoman and "no more f@#$in' questions from reporters!"

Tom, as long as we're not talking religion, you and I tend to agree on most things, but damn, you are always so extreme.
You must be intense as hell in person.

Does Gundy think every team on his schedule doesn't know already that he's a clown?

Another good reason why he's so ****ing clueless as a head coach. You figure that by his third year (which is right now) he has a clue how to manage a game and put his team in a position to win (against Big 12 teams, not the ****ing Sun Belt). He was on the hot seat to start the season, and I mentioned this on the CFB thread Saturday night: how could you not at least take a shot in the red zone and opted to settle for the FG, with the risk that TAMU was going to eat the clock with 3:48 left in the game?

Bobby Reid had to put down the chicken dinner his momma gave him and run the offense with Robinson got injured. He made some good passes, but he looked unconfortable doing it.

If dumb**** Gundy keeps this up, Carlson is going to look better and credible everytime he acts buffoonish in not explaining his tactics when it comes to winning a winnable game.

Actually, Gundy played it right. Kicked the FG, then his defense forced a three-and-out ... that turned into a fresh set of downs with the roughing call. If you're going to kick the FG, you're counting on your D. The D did it's job, then Gundy effed it up.

And there's this: http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?articleID=071008_2__Oklah47740

People outside of this state may not understand this, but Gundy is not on the hot seat, even now.
He was megabooster Boone Pickens' hand-picked guy. The A.D., Mike Holder, is also a Pickens/Gundy guy.
That may be part of the reason for Gundy's attitude is he knows his job security is incredibly high for now, and virtually nothing will change that within the next year or two.

Gee, handing your university's showcase athletic program over to a corporate cutthroat with the blood of a couple thousand workers on his hands.
I hope these ****heads lose every game from now until forever.
