Bubba Top 10

Did you know: The only two times Bubba has finished inside the top 20 at the Masters, he's won. He's either in it or he isn't.

He also plans on wearing these monstrosities ...

They won't let cell phones on the course but they'll let him wear those shoes.

I'd say give me any of the five other guys Chef 2 cited in his first post and I'd bet them for a lower score than Tiger.

78 guys made the cut in Houston who need to win to get in the Masters. At this writing (3:22 p.m EDT) 20 of the top 22 players on the leaderboard are not in the Masters.

Always take the field against one guy.

So many guys are hot coming in. Throw Woods into the mix, and this figures to be a great one.

I’ll take Rory for the win. Woods top 10. And Bubba’s shoes to cause nausea and vomiting.

If Tiger makes the cut it's a win for him. It's not 2008 anymore, gang. And we've gone a long way without anyone mentioning Justin Thomas or Spieth.

If Tiger wins.... Biggest sports story since..... ?

Good question. Biggest sports story of the last couple of years? Probably the Cubs in Game 7. Or the Patriots’ Super Bowl rally against the Falcons.

All time? Woods winning would be up there. In golf alone, it doesn’t top Hogan. But it would be way, way up there.

Without looking at the board I am guessing one of the two who are in was Spieth, who'll play a goat ranch as long as it was in Texas.

Up there, but it doesnt top Hogan's comeback or Nicklaus' win.

I don't think TW is playing to make the cut. If he makes it, it won't count as a win.
I think he - and many others - expect him to near the top of the leaderboard come Sunday.

Speith is not playing well.

Good call on Thomas though.

Spieth is not looking good for this weekend, but I still don't understand why Tiger is the favourite. That's ridiculous to me. There are so many good players, and a lot of them are running hot. Justin Rose is a way better bet than Tiger right now.

I'm not talking about Woods' expectations. Of course he thinks he can win. And maybe he can, but I doubt it very much. In the tourneys where he's done well, Valspar and Bay Hill, he either faded or had a significant blunder down the stretch. He's got most of his game back, but not all 72 holes worth.

Tiger is the betting favorite, which reflects what gamblers think and not some sort of objective ranking.
