Delaware at William Ampersand Mary on CN8. Delaware's up 42-24 with 10:52 left. Omar Cuff has scored all six touchdowns for the Blue Hens, tying the A-10 CAA record for TDs in a game. And with the game still in doubt, he's still out there. Hell of a performance.

And as an added bonus for you Virginians, you get to see something you probably thought you'd never see: a W&M home game at night on turf.

And Cuff just rattled off a 50-yard run. A man-sized game, to be sure.

Re: A college football apertif

And he just dove in for his seventh TD. 244 rushing yards and a new conference record. Truly he does blue-feathered egg-laying animals proud.

Re: A college football apertif

Omar Cuff is a bad ass. Guy is a definite third-down back in the NFL. He can run and catch well.

Re: A college football apertif

Do we have a college football thread? Because Louisville has put up 73, and Boise has 49 with 5 minutes left in the half!

Good start for the Big Ten Network ... replaying the OSU-Mich game from last year right now.

Delaware hardly ever has losing seasons, and the last back-to-back was like in the 1930s. Only a CAA title and deep playoff run will buy him time.

Gonna be a long season in Ames. Kent St. leads Iowa St. 23-14 late.

Mike Henig. 6 INTs for Miss. State. He's a redshirt junior.

He's also the worst quarterback in Division I-A (oops FBS) football.

Yowza. Rough day at the office.

Those Delaware fans are always hen-pecked for a national title run.

Drake heads into Normal and upsets Illinois State, 27-24 on a 57-yard TD catch with :23 left in the game.

Iowa State is losing to Kent State, 23-14, in Ames, with 1:45 remaining in the game. New coach, new schemes, but the same old Iowa State, pissing away opportunities by the dozen. This is pretty much done.

Ball State gives up a 6-yard touchdown run with 17.7 seconds to play and loses 14-13 to Miami (Ohio). Not the start the Cardinals wanted to showcase their renovated stadium.

This is not going to keep the attack dogs off KC Keeler's back.

William & Mary should be a little better this year, and winning on the road in the CAA is never not a big deal. Speaking of coaches in trouble, it's pretty rare for the Tribe to be consistently out of contention, so I wonder how much longer it'll be before Jimmye Laycock gets walking papers.

D II Carson Newman beats FCS Chattanooga 29-17. UTC coach Rodney Allison may be the first coach in a while to be fired before the end of Week One.

Jimmye is safe as long as the Tribe beats Richmond.

Six interceptions and nine rushing yards. Is it possible that MSU is worse this year than the previous half-dozen? Eesh.

I may be off, but isn't Carson-Newman pretty good for D-II? They still call them Division II, right?

Sly Croom, pick up the white phone. It's David Shula.

If they can't turn it around and clean up their play, Croom will be out the door.
