So how long before Netscape releases an updated browser, since they rely on both the Firefox and IE platforms?

Attention Boom and busdriver: The new version has built-in spellcheck. [/nonetoosubtlehint]

And the interface is subtly improved, while overall it seems to be less of a RAM hog than version 1.X was.

on a semi-related note, my new favorite thing is the firefox extension called "StumbleUpon" -- it gives you a random page (you select the categories you want) when you click a button at the top of the browser. great for when you're bored. and i've found some pretty interesting stuff that way.

Is anybody else finding that 2.0 is locking up waaaaayyy more than 1.5 ever did?

Nearly every time I load up SportsJournalists.com it will eventually freeze on me.

Very disappointing.

Wow ... haven't experienced that yet... have you sent an e-mail to the Mozilla folks?

Stretch: This is what I was talking about when I posted before that SportsJournalists.com was locking up on me pretty much every time I went to my PMs. Now, it does it on random pages. About every five pages I have to quit firefox and restart it.

I got 2.0 upon reading this thread and went back to 1.5 within the hour after three freeze-ups.

I just went back to 1.5 and it locked up too. I know it's 1.5 because I went to 'about Mozilla firefox' and it said so.

****abuncha.

I couldn't tell a difference between 2 and 1.5 in regards to speed. It just crashed more.

But now my 1.5 is crashing too. :(

Any suggestions?

Abandon the Internet. It's just a fad anyway.

I couldn't see any difference in the speed either.

There's only one thing I can think of - do a complete uninstall of Mozilla and a fresh install.

I feel your pain...

I uninstalled Mozilla, and went to mozilla.com to get 1.5. But I can't find anything but 2.0

Someone? Help?

If you can find Google Pack, it will allow you to download it through the Google Web site.
