Before Arizona-ASU puts me to sleep, I flatter dools through imitation:

--Va Tech nearly blows a three-touchdown lead but beats FSU and takes the ACC title.
-- UConn becomes the AQ team no BCS bowl wants with a win over USF and a 5-2 record.
-- Sooners beat the Huskers by a touchdown.
-- Stephen Garcia has a career night, but ... Cam Newton. Auburn wins by 3.
-- Beavs look like they have a chance for at least a quarter, then Oregon drops 50 on them.
-- Southern Methodist SHOCKS THE WORLD with a win over Central Florida for the treasured C-USA championship.
-- Excessive eye black is used.

Am I a cold hearted ******* for tiring of the stories of the football teams that adopt a diseased child?

If they really cared about that kid, they wouldn't have lost to USC.

Great finish in the desert. Arizona down six, but driving with 51 seconds left.

TD Arizona with 27 seconds to go. This is a familiar feeling for Sun Devils fans.

On radio earlier, they said that there had been four punters combined used in the game. ASU had an 8-yard punt and Arizona had one for 0.

If Brock Osweiller could make some simple passes in the first half, ASU would be dominating this game, and there'd be a dull second half.

Instead, a crappy first half gives way to this.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Well, duh. But dooley ain't here, and week 14 is.

On to overtime 3 ... or not.

PAT's Incredible.

Arizona misses another extra point attempt. ASU wins in double overtime.

The ACC storyline is a bit wrong. Chances are the Noles jump out to a huge lead early, and then the Hokies claw back. That's been their MO most of the season.

Watching this at a pub last night, I said before the kicker walked on the field that they should have went for 2.

Pretty much only watched the first half of this monstrosity last night. My take away was "God, Arizona should be dominating. If they could hold on to any one of those five interceptions right in their freaking hands, or if they could have hooked up on one of those wide open deep passes...."

Exactly. VT ain't getting a 3 TD lead (early in the game) against any opponent not named Wake Forest or Duke.

WVU can name the score. Lay the 20.5 or whatever it is.
And Auburn's been covering all year. Ride 'em.

I've never figured out why, with so much money, jobs, prestige, victories, what have you on the line, why teams don't more heavily recruit kickers and punters to find the very best ones.

You have some teams that don't even offer scholarships to kickers. Then, when the game is on the line, they are relying on some walk-on.
