The ACC storyline is a bit wrong. Chances are the Noles jump out to a huge lead early, and then the Hokies claw back. That's been their MO most of the season.

Exactly. VT ain't getting a 3 TD lead (early in the game) against any opponent not named Wake Forest or Duke.

Absolutely. Even freaking UVa jumped out to a 0-0 lead after one quarter last week. The Cavs didn't score, but they were controlling the pace, etc. Then they remembered Marc Verica was their QB.

Headed to a prep playoff game here in San Antonio and listening to the Sirius Tailgate show with Eric Crouch, Zig and Coach Leach broadcasting from Atlanta. They are filling time nicely by doing 10 minute sit-downs with each of the 12 SEC Living Legends honorees. I gotta say Vandy's Corey Chavous was outstanding to listen to. This guy's knowledge and talking points were very cool to listen to. He's on top of his school's coaching search, the school's histrionics, all things and players both college and pro, current events. You gotta check this guy out if you get a chance sometime.

Somehow, someway, when Chavous was with the Vikings -- I was shooting the bull with him after a weekday interview in the locker room and mentioned I was a Vandy fan.

We talked about college football for a long time. What teams he was into... what coaches he thought were too-faced. Interesting, interesting person.
