Chris Fowler is great hosting tennis. Either he really loves the sport, or he sells it masterfully. I kind of hope it's the latter, because that's the sign of a true professional in sports media.

In fact, ESPN's entire tennis crew is pretty damn good (and I only watch the majors).

Ron Franklin. Maybe it's because I grew up in Texas but to me he's one of the great underrated play-by-play guys.

Off the top of my head I can stand Bob Ley, Rece Davis, the College GameDay gang, Brad Nessler, Dave Barnett, Dan Schulman, Chris McKendry, Buster Olney, and Gammons. Kornhesier and Wilbon are sportswriters first so I don't think of them as ESPN guys (although I guess you could say that about Gammons and Olney too).

I can also definitely stand Erin Andrews with my mute button activated.

In my dealings with the guy, Mike Tirico has always been a great person to work with, especially in getting ready for a game. He would call a couple of times before the game for notes and updates and was always pleasant. After the game, he even sent a thank you note.

I had dinner with him one time (along with a mutual friend) and it was a great night. Stories all night about working at ESPN, etc.

Then a couple of weeks later I hear the myriad of stories about Mike's "problem" with women at ESPN and I guess I couldn't have been more wrong about a person. It's amazing.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a mention of Scott Van Pelt yet. Pretty good golf guy, I think, and he doesn't have any of the bat**** crazy schtick ESPN's dopes are known for. I'll go ahead and throw Andy North in there too.
