Part of that has to do with the way games are selected, right? Those non-conference games are going to be the only time the SEC Network can get them before CBS and ESPN scoop up the big conference games.

And it's obviously been such a hindrance to Alabama. It's a miracle they even manage to win those games by 40 points.

That and the low-tier teams they are "forced" to play (at home of course).

Alabama can play the game any time it wants. Pay the fine the SEC would levy for breaking ranks with the TV contract and show up when you please.

It is weird, though, that Alabama usually gets the 11 a.m. or 3 p.m. game when they're on the SEC Network, and LSU is always put in the 6:30 time slot.
Since the SEC Network was launched in 2014, Alabama has played 14 day games and three night games (including the upcoming one against Southern Miss) against non-conference opponents at home. The last was in 2017.
LSU has played 16 night games and zero day games.

I've got a question.
What damn difference does it make?
You're gonna win 62-3.

Because they are feeding into that aura about Death Valley at night.

No such aura exists in Tuscaloosa. That team is hard to play any hour of the day.

It's ****ing hot at night in the deep south too until October or later. The lowest humidity of the day this time of year is about 5 a.m.

Love to see an SEC Breakfast Game Of The Week kickoff at 5:30 am.

Don't know about 5:30, but I think you would get a lot of teams to do a 8:30 EST kick. Transitions nicely straight into the noon kick.
Just do a 2 hour GameDay from 6:30-8:30. (Make sure Corso's alarm clock doesn't go off. He's becoming/has been unwatchable.)
Or still do the 8-11 GameDay, and put the Breakfast game on U or 2.

What a hideous schedule this weekend.
I will be up til the weehours watching TT-AZ though.

I’m teeing off when my game starts and playing 18. I have enough to make me angry on the Trump thread.

I'm playing in a night golf tournament this Saturday.
Tee off at 4pm. Play 9 holes. Done by 545-6. Go inside clubhouse. Supper, drinks, auction. Back out by 9. Play in the dark with the glow balls, pins......I played in it last year (AND WON). Your depth perception is all jacked up, but it is a lot of fun.
I'll be drinking, playing golf, and watching TT-AZ in between shots (and shots).

What an awesome idea for a tournament.

What an awesome idea for a tournament.

This is the 4th or 5th year for it. It draws all types. Really is a blast.
I'll attempt to take some pictures from it.
Last year, didn't leave the course til after 2am.
