A reverse Jamie Howard.

It's been 31 years — almost to the day, coincidentally — and three national championships since then, and that game still pisses me off.
This is the stat sheet from that game, which Auburn won 30-26 while crossing midfield exactly once.

Boston College, playing possibly the worst P4 team in the country in Stanford, has thrown a pick-six, coughed up an 11-point lead in about 30 seconds, and just fumbled at the goal line. Stanford recovers in the end zone to keep it tied 20-20.

The bottom of P4 is crowded. Stanford is joined by Woke Forest, UNC, Wazzu, Okie Lite, UCLA and Oregon Lite in the nether regions.

Give Andrew Luck this. Instead of sitting in a box near the media and/or coaching staff, he's down on the field trying to fire up the crowd. Not what anyone might expect from the GM, even in D-I.

Their remaining schedule won’t get them in.
If they run the table and those are their two losses by four points to top 15 teams, I think they would sneak it as the final at large.

They lose to anyone else and there’s no benefit of the doubt

I used to spend time checking ALL the D1 football scores, trying to figure out which teams were good, which quality early season wins weren't so great later in the season, which teams might be "sneaky good." I don't bother any more. The National Champion will be one of the teams currently ranked in the top 6 certainly I wish that take was "hot" - but we all know its a "well, duh" in the new landscape. And for the record its only happened twice that a preseason unranked team - GT in '90 and BYU in '84 - won it all since 1980.
Fixed it for you. Your welcome!!!!

It really blows my mind, LSU has been tabbed as a potential National Champion since week one, certainly the best shot the SEC has, and yet you get the impression Kelly is spending more time on social media when LSU is playing than the actual game on the field. Irked Kelly fires back at doubters after LSU win

They have/had a Heisman candidate QB and a really good defense. That's the start to be in that category. Oh and they avoid Texas and Georgia in the regular season

First coach out.
A. Pry
B. Napier
C. Klieman

IMHO—-I think it’s Pry. Losing to Old Dominion may have sealed it.
Napier may have received a reprieve just because they were competitive at LSU. A blowout loss may have done it today. Klieman is a late td against North Dakota away from being 0-4. Their first 3 conference games are vs UCF, @ Baylor and vs TCU.
He goes 0 for, bye bye. People already calling for Collin Klein (A&M OC) to come back home.

Things we learned this week:

Indiana ain’t played nobody yet.
Wyoming is bad. Hard to tell about Utah yet.
Florida is turrible.
Miami-Florida State will be a game of the year candidate.
Can Georgia and Tennessee play again in the SEC title game? Would watch.
Gonna be a rough season in South Bend.
Vandy … is good? That seems weird to say.
Clemson is coming down with ETTD disease. Sad!
I can’t tell you if Ole Miss and Arkansas are both decent or terrible. I hate September polls.
Same for Bama and Wisconsin.
Montana has something special going on, but Eastern Washington does not.

And I can’t find bullet points in this updated software.

It's not just losing to ODU. It's being down 38-0 to ODU. It's being completely non-competitive. It's sticking with a terrible quarterback and refusing to adjust. Can't wait to see what the attendance in Blacksburg for a nooner between 0-3 Wofford and 0-3 Virginia Tech is next Saturday. I certainly am finding something else to do with my time.

I don’t think of the PAC-2 as power teams any more, but Washington State deserves special mention in the “Holy **** they suck!” sweepstakes. Got strangled 59-10 at North Texas yesterday and nearly spit the bit in the opener to Idaho. Apple Cup next week and looking ahead they have cross country trips to Ole Miss and Virginia back-to-back. And the. Saturday before Thanksgiving they go back east to visit James Madison.

So much for my feeling good about Michigan State beating BC in OT

And with that choke job in Morgantown, I am done with Pitt football this year. Eli Holstein is a slightly better version of Phil Jerkovec.
