I hope he answers the phone. This is off the grid, and if it happens, it will probably end up in disaster.......but I think Deion Sanders will get a phone call.
That is the story. I'm going to guess it has been gradual and stealthy. By that, I mean a few boosters began talking among themselves and, at a certain point, notified the administration they were close. After yesterday, they got over the top and made the call to the top.The boosters pooled $20 million to push Taggart out. I'd love to know how that all came together.

I think this was reactionary after the **** poor performance yesterday, and the overall feeling about the program nationally. Herbstreit ripped them last night and there is no sense that it is turning for the better.
There is no one lined up, but this is a move to get a head start.

Of course this is reactionary. Taggart was in trouble, and IMO the contract was the only reason he even got a second season.
Florida State will claim it saw slippage. Problem is, they refused to acknowledge that the end of the Jimbo era was when the slippage had begun.
The cupboard was supposedly bare when Taggart arrived. If that's correct, find one coach who was going to go in and turn it back into Florida State any quicker.
Can you explain the Derek Bell reference? This. This was never going to be a fast turnaround considering the Derek Bell imitation Jimbo did the last couple of years there. This quick of a trigger finger could actually do more damage than good.
I can't imagine how Chad Morris still has a job.
