Marquette is almost always in the tournament. They've made it eight of the last nine seasons.
It's not significantly better, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd take Marquette.
Wake has the ACC, which automatically makes it a better job than Marquette and the Not-So-Big-Anymore East.
Wake is arguably a better job than Marquette, but the ACC isn't so much better than the Big East as a basketball conference that every job in the league is better. Think Jay Wright would leave Villanova for Clemson? Would anybody choose Virginia Tech over Georgetown?
A guy just chose Virginia Tech over Marquette.
And the problem the Big East has is this - yes, right now it is still relatively close to the ACC.
But money, money, money - TV money - is going to change that quickly.
Big East teams won't be able to get into bidding wars for coaches like they once did. Jay Wright may stay at Villanova because he is a Philly guy, he makes enough and he doesn't want to leave.
But the playing field has been tilted once again away from the Big East
