I know this was asked before, but I felt the regions were fairly vague and confusing, IMO.

Anyway, I'm from Jersey, and no, I have not witnessed a mob hit... yet.

Yup, I'm not answering until I know if it's about origin or current residence.

Excellent job with the regions, though. I'd refer to "Near Midwest" as "Great Lakes" and "Far Midwest" as "Great Plains," but that's just nitpicking. Good intuition, as a Southerner, I'm glad to see the Deep South differentiated from all those Yankees up in Virginia.

Depends on what part of Virginia. The people west of Richmond and south of Charlottesville are not Yankees. Trust me on this one.

Indeed, they're hillbillies and unsophisticated louts. They besmirch all that is decent and honorable.

And while I clicked one answer, when I get to my office I can look out the window and see a different one.

I wasn't entirely serious regarding Virginia "Yankees." I realize that the southern and western parts of Virginia are, for better or for worse, very Southern. I'd actually say worse...seems to me those parts have a lot of what's bad about the South without too much of what's good.

BTW, I'd suggest that DC be considered Mid-Atlantic as well.

If you like Moonshine and toothless hookers, then the lower I-81 corridor is for you!

Given the large number of Canadians who visit this board, you might want to add some more options.

Well, I'll admit, I haven't had a "gummer" since the last time I was in the Oklahoma panhandle.

No one from Florida or the Great White North yet? I'm a little surprised.

I hope Robert E. Lee jumps out of his grave and slaps you silly.

Let me tell you, there are plenty of candidates who could fill the 'toothless hooker' application in the mid- to upper portion of the I-81 corridor as well, sad to say. :)
