that time of year: turkey, thanks, giblets and stories galore from fave gf '21'

although shockey has been under the weather for a month or so, he's finally feeling a bit better and insists mrs. shockey sucks it up to host about 20 of his side of the fam's thanksgiving on thursday. the shockey boys and other children in the fam, as well as my parents, deserve the joy that these gatherings offer.

the mrs. does the turkey, gravy, stuffing and a green veggie. other side dishes, wine, desserts brought in by other participants. clean-up responsibilities shared by all; the goal is for mrs. shockey's primary function -- once the bird is done -- to be guzzling wine and little else.

just thought it time to kick off the holiday season before thursday's nfl tripleheader. feel free to commence with tales of joy and woe from now through friday.....

yeah, this is a shoutout -- re: plea -- for 21 to regale us with tales of her and boom's thanksgiving, my favorite posts of the year.

Turkey Frozen Daiquiri

1 small onion
2 medium avacados
1/4 cup sour cream
1 cup leftover turkey
4 1/2 oz. rum

Place all ingredients in blender and fill with ice. Blend until smooth. Serve as is or freeze until frozen and scoop out as slush into glasses. Garnish with mint leaves or cranberries.
