"Star Wars" Turns 30 ...

Dad saw Star Wars before I did...I wasn't in a rush to see it because I was probably a little scared of Chewbacca or Darth Vader. Later, the whole family saw it at a drive-in in central Louisiana and I loved it. I had all the ****, even the remote control stuff you could only get at JC Penney's.
Of course, Jedi is still my favorite of the bunch. I know that's the wrong answer, you're supposed to say Empire (like you're supposed to say that John is your favorite Beatle)

The only wrong answers would be if you put one of the prequels as your favorite. Can't go wrong with the original trilogy.

Empire is my answer, too...but I love all three

Star Wars in only 30? I thought it started, "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..."

What's this rumor floating around that Lucas will announce a prequel to the prequels?

No, a sequel to the sequels. :o :o

The first two are classics...

Jedi is mediocre...

All of the prequels are horrendous...

Phantom Menace was pretty bad but the pod race was cool. the only thing missing was the Sandpeople having a barbecue.

Clones was OK.

Sith was awesome. After Episode 4 and 5, Sith is my favorite. Just watched it the other day. Great stuff if you ask me.

A few weeks back I tried to get my five year old nephew to watch it. He showed ZERO interest (left the room after about fifteen minutes to go play with toy cars). When I arrived to watch him yesterday he pointed out that he was wearing SW underpants so maybe he liked it more than he let on.

My soon-to-be four-year-old daughter has seen the original trilogy on DVD. She loves the music, the droids, the princess and Chewbacca ("I want to see the big doggie!"). Pretty much gets bored and starts playing with her toys when the shooting starts.

I won't let her watch Revenge of the Sith, though. To many people getting hacked to pieces.

Besides, all three prequels have Jar-Jar and I would never expose my child to that.
