I could've sworn I posted this on this thread, but I think this is a great example of nurture over nature. Steele's father is a West Point grad, and after he got out, they lived in Colorado Springs and central Indiana. My point is that let's not act surprised that she's to the right of Jemele Hill (or for that matter just about anyone at ESPN).
That doesn't excuse some of this ****housery but as a (mostly) black, conservative woman, she probably figures, what's the worst that could happen? Pay raise and a one-way ticket to Fox and Friends to become "Real America"'s black friend?
