Hey, Kanye's scheduled for SNL 10-6. We could have back-to-back musical trainwrecks (provided A. Winehouse is still ambulatory the week before).

Wow...that was weak...I laughed zero times, as did most of the people in the audience.

How can MTV still show the Video Music Awards when it doesn't show music videos?

How can it be an awards show when it's more about publicity stunts that take place during the show than actual awards?

When the publicity stunt is Pee-Wee Herman back in the public eye or Madonna kissing Britney and Christina, it works. This publicity stunt falls at the other end of the spectrum.

So, heard any good jokes lately? HA HA!

silverman was atrocious. the new britney single was horrid. the entire show was forced and boring as usual. only thing worth watching for was the always beautiful rihanna and alicia keys.

Kanye may be a jackass, but the MF knows how to perform and is a much better state mentally than Winehouse (who is grossly overrated).

And I'm a fan of anyone that has the chance to put Fiddy cent on the inactive list.

Puh-leaze, do you really think Fitty will retire if Kanye outsells him? And shouldn't both Kanye and 50 retire when Kenny Chesney outsells both of them combined?

Fixed so IJAG won't hate me ... even though I haven't mentioned yesterday's game to her at all.

It's kind of like her show on comedy central. You keep waiting for something funny, but you only get about 2-3 actual funny jokes.

I laughed out loud at the 50 Cent joke. Otherwise, Silverman was awkward -- like she always is. Still super hot.

As far as Britney goes, it was pretty bad. Bad choreography, poorly rehersed. The shot of 50 Cent in the audience was priceless.

However, the more I hear the single the more I like it. I probably won't download it but it's better than 75% of the stuff she's released.

They played four of the songs that didn't make the album the other day (Jive leaked them, I guess to show if stuff like that didn't make it, how good is the stuff that did) adn I liked all of them better than Gimme More.

Still wouldn't buy it.

I was unaware the MTV VMAs were even on last night until I read about it this morning. Yup, I just don’t pay attention to the channel because, as Timberlake pointed out, they forgot that they show music videos.

Having read a bit of it this morning, I don’t feel bad at all for missing it.

Exactly. I watched the entire season of her show. It sucked. Hard.

You are kidding right? Silverman… hot? Maybe a bit cute, but not even in the hot category. She’s much too grating.

Brit was definitely dancing (is that the right word?) like she had a load in her pants, and the lip-synching was atrocious and amateurish. For all the girl's shortcomings, she was at the very least, back in the day, a performer. Now she just looks like she's on drugs and going through the motions. But, after seeing the clips this morning, I expected her to look, physically, a lot worse. For having two kids in about a three and a half year span, she still looks pretty decent.

The only reason why Fifty may outsell Kanye is because gangster rap is having a bigger stranglehold on the game than conscious rap. Who sells more, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg or Common? 50 Cent always comes out with the same song on a different CD. Let's be honest with it here, 50 Cent has songs that basically have the same lyrics, but different beats and song titles. "Many Men" sounds awfully familiar to "Man Down" and so on and so forth.

Kanye's beats are fresh, and even though he practically steals songs straight up, he can make it work. I don't see how he flipped Daft Punk's beat, well actually, he didn't. Kanye at least comes out with a different swag and style than 50 Cent.

50 Cent may as well retire if Kanye outsells him because he has other ventures out there to keep him afloat, like Vitamin Water, his clothing line and record label. They both admitted that this is a big publicity stunt in order to get their sales up.

Since you brought up Kenny Chesney, the thing is that no one really leaks Chesney's stuff. No one is overly excited for his album like a 50 Cent or Kanye West fan. Or a fan of hip-hop in general. Part of the whole rap underground, is that underground and how people are pirating their albums all over the place, so sales aren't going to be that high. Why do you think Eminem keeps pushing his "King Mathers" album back?

Britney's revenge!

As if her career-ending performance at last night’s big MTV Video Music Awards wasn’t bad enough, embattled tabloid star Britney Spears was photographed going commando (yet again!!!!!!!!!) after her humiliating performance.
