Wow, that was just so painful to watch. It's like she wasn't even trying.

And, while I feel the need to point out she still appears to be in better shape than 90 percent of American women, why would she put herself in a bikini she can't pull off? This is what's wrong with superstars. They surround themselves with sycophants and don't have anyone around who will tell them, "Brit, if you go out in that outfit you're going to get crucified."

Yikes. That was horrendous. She almost fell each of the first four moves she made. And they weren't even dance moves, just a move to her left or right.

Poor (figuratively, not literally) girl is just grabbing for straws right now.

How can MTV still show the Video Music Awards when it doesn't show music videos?

How can it be an awards show when it's more about publicity stunts that take place during the show than actual awards?

When the publicity stunt is Pee-Wee Herman back in the public eye or Madonna kissing Britney and Christina, it works. This publicity stunt falls at the other end of the spectrum.

LAS VEGAS -- Not only rappers fight at award shows: Kid Rock and Tommy Lee tussled in the audience at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.

MTV VJ Sway said during the post-show that he saw Kid Rock walk up to the Motley Crue drummer, who was sitting next to Diddy, and "deck him." The incident was confirmed by Palms Hotel and Casino public relations representative Larry Fink.

Both Lee and Kid Rock are ex-husbands of Pamela Anderson, who was a presenter at the show and delivered her lines from atop a table in the audience. Although it wasn't clear whether the two rockers were fighting over something related to Anderson, it was hard to imagine another scenario.

Another eyewitness, rap producer Rich Nice, said although Kid Rock threw the only blows that landed — a backhand slap and a punch — Tommy Lee was the instigator.

i don't think spears is a bad person, i just think she's fallen into litterally every trap hollywood/show biz throws at someone like her. She's obviously pushed away any positive influences that are in her life and is surrounded by a group of people enabling her so they don't lose their lifestyle as well.

The sad thing is that she has 2 small kids who, at this rate, will never know their mother to be anything but the train wreck that she is now (if they ever know her at all). Before it's too late, i hope spears is able to get help before she dies--because while we all (including me) like to laugh at her, she is slowly and publicly killing herself. My guess is she does something tragic before the year is out unless she gets the help she needs.
