Saw him at Foxwoods around 1997 with another Italian friend. Don't remember the jokes but I know a lot of the situations he discussed were familiar to me surrounded by the other Italians in my family.

Before his show became a hit, Seinfeld would appear on Stern to publicize and Stern would rip into him that he didn’t want to be there. I think the actually got along until Stern and Gilbert called his answering machine and especially when he did the parody of At Seventeen.

I used to love when he made fun of Larry King. And I loved Larry King. But I still found it hilarious. The last genuinely funny thing I heard on Stern was when they had a blast playing the Mel Gibson tapes.

I started listening to him when he was doing afternoons at WNBC. I was one of those fans who listened for hours at a time if my school/work allowed. Bought all his tapes and watched the Channel 9 and CBS shows.

He was fantastic probably through the divorce and then less so after. I stopped listening when he went to Sirius because they didn’t have a reliable was to listen on the go at the time and I had just moved to NJ and was commuting by train.

Losing Billy West and then Jackie hurt. As I’ve said, it went from a show where Howard was the first among equals to being the king of sycophants
