Anyone have any insight on why he never landed an HC gig given his credentials? A guy has a cup of coffee with Sean McVay and they get a HC gig.

I don't ever remember him ever getting an interview. Maybe he didn't want to be a HC.

Always thought if you were an owner and one of the usual six or seven teams looking for a coach each year, you would be better off hiring the best coach over 50 who'd never been an HC before than one of the "BYOM" who had been an OC for six months.
