I remember watching the Nazca lines episode many decades ago and thinking there was no way they could have been made without technological help. I have much more respect now for what people could accomplish centuries ago, and I still think the Nazca lines are fascinating.

Can't be that hard to build a pyramid as big as you want, as long as you have enough labor (animal or paid/slave humans in B.C., or modern machinery). The base square footage is a largely limiting factor.

I can't remember the name of the movie but my brother and I went to see some pseudoscientific flick in the late 1970s that supposedly explained all these "coincidences." We came out even more skeptical about the alleged connections. Sorry, but adding mumbo-jumbo to a shaky thesis doesn't make it any less wrong.

Given that a large portion of people believe we never set foot on the Moon in 1969, there's always a willing subset of science deniers who would rather get conned by a Van Daniken than actually paid attention in school.
