'Grey's Anatomy' actor and Bay Area native Eric Dane died after battling ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Really sad. I watched "The Last Ship" through its entire run (good show, well worth a binge) and at one point Dane had to halt production due to mental health issues. Solid actor, much more than "McSteamy." RIP.
