Horshack also fought Screech in Celebrity Boxing (and got his ass kicked).

And dooley, the other woman is Ellen Travolta, John's sister, who played Horshack's mother on WBK.

Holy ****. Epstein was like spnited's age. I don't know which of those it makes seem older.

I guess because Hegyes had been out of the spotlight, he just never aged for me. And I never did the math of when it aired. Crazy.

No - that is Marcia Strassman. I figure they threw in Travolta's sister (on the right) to make sure he'd show even though she was just an occasional guest star (3 times) while stoning Beau, Hotsy Totsey and Vernalee.

I'm waiting for a WKRP reunion just to see how Jan Smithers is doing these days.

Also, Travolta made it but not Horshack? WTF? Was he performing in the summer stock version of "Cyrano de Bergerac?"

He taught drama at UConn when I was a student there in the mid to late 90s. Don't know if he still is in Storrs.

I particularly enjoyed Washington's "Hi there." And yes, LTL, the theme song is/was awesome.

Ron Palillo was up in Storrs in the early 80s. I went to a summer program at UConn from 1981-84 and I remember seeing posters for his play "P.S. Your Cat is Dead" around campus. I don't remember what year and I can't believe I remember it at all.

I know it just happened, but that's hilarious.

And so is that. Well done, both of you.

I actually watched that TV Land Awards. It was kind of nice to see a lot of these actors (most out of the spotlight for years) come back and genuinely appreciate being honored (even Travolta) for a show that may not have been a critical darling but had a lot of fans.

What the ****? Was Robert Hegyes starring in Cats at the time?

Looks more like he was starring in a remake of "The Shaggy D.A."

I didn't know Heyges had become an English barrister. And Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs looks like Smoove B. And I don't recall another adult female besides Kotter's wife (Marcia Strassman) as part of the main cast. So who's the younger female? Their kid on the show, Robin?

Now that we know that's Strassman: Gosh, has that woman ever aged. Funny this is, I know her best from that show, and the first couple of years on Kotter, they had the glasses on her and she looked rather plain Jane-ish. But when she was in the early years of "MASH" and through her roles in the "Honey, I Shrunk The...", she's been a really attractive lady.

Seconded.

Uncle.Ruckus's post has to make the short list of best all time posts to open a thread.

Agreed. Two tremendous responses by folks who obviously knew the show.

WBK was about the first show I can recall being hooked on as little kid. Consequently, for years I thought Epstein was a Latino name and Brooklyn was a distinct city on it's own (I remember being disappointed to learn that it was just part of NYC).

She was Bailey Quarters a little bit before there was a Bailey Quarters. Also, Strassman was a pain in the ass as far as seeking to have her contract renegotiated.
