He started as the cheap villain and ended as the man willing to spend the money once they finally got good. Can’t say I disagree with that approach.

Their flaw was not trading assets after 2015 and rebuilding but they needed the 2016 ticket sales and even 2017 before shedding the roster. It was trying to rebuild a plane while it was in the air and it did set the rebuild back 4-6 years but that’s okay. They won a title!

Saved baseball in KC and finally let a GM run operations without meddling.

Glass left a far larger mark on the American landscape as the CEO of Wal-Mart than in baseball. He is the guy who is largely responsible for converting Walmarts from discount stores to the Super WalMart concept that included groceries.
