Marc Almond, who doesn't look or sound like me despite the closeness of the pronounication of the name, wonders where did the love go? I played the crap out of "Tainted Love" back in the "Best Variety" era of AM radio on my overnight shift. Usually sandwiched between songs like "True" and "Captain of Her Heart."

And yeah, never charted again in the U.S. (or Canada) but had multiple hit records on the other side of the ocean.

RIP.

"Captain of Her Heart" is a great song at 3 a.m. on the highway.
