Bad day for 76-year-olds. Love Will Keep Us Together is an all-time song.

His dad, famous composer Carmen Dragon, lived in Malibu. The kids went to my high school. He was 9 years older. My older brother knew him a little bit. One time at the school paper in junior college, we got all the newly released record albums. I looked through the stack and saw his brother Dennis in a group (can’t remember the name of the band now). He was wearing sweats from our high school track team in the photo on the album cover. RIP Daryl.

Always thought it was pretty awful how Toni treated him at the end. Unless I am missing something, it seemed like as he was getting sicker, she dumped him and moved on (sadly, a best friend's mother did that to her father, who was dying of kidney failure). But maybe there was something else to the story.

RIP to the Captain. The definition of 70s campy if there ever was. And I still never understood how something like "Muskrat Love" was a Top 10 song.

To re-word a well known saying...

No matter how handsome and charming a man may seem, there's a woman somewhere who's well and truly sick of dealing with his nonsense.

I read that they divorced in 2014 but remained close and when he got sick she took care of him and was with him at the end.

Captain and Tenille sang the National anthem at the first MLB game I ever attended, blue jays at Yankees in 1980. It was bat day.
