Lewis won't be fired during the season. It could become a situation where Cincy tells him he won't be back next season and he does a Dave Wannstedt (sp?) and walks. But no way do the cheap ass Bengals let a coach under contract walk.

I have no idea when his contract is up.

After 2010

Then that's when he'll be gone.

No, I think just to screw up the Bungels for the next 6-7 years, somehow Cincy wins eight this year, just miss the playoffs and actually give Lewis another five-year deal.

Then he bombs for another five years.

If Brady Quinn throws more touchdowns than interceptions this season, I'll make my avatar a picture of that ass hole for the rest of time.

That's my prediction.

Also, if Matt Stafford and Daunte Culpepper are still alive after playing a full season behind that offensive line, it'll be one of the six biggest miracles of all-time.

Which is why they should start Culpepper this season. You don't want Stafford to turn into another David Carr and get sacked 70+ times in a season.

Maybe, but the days of letting a first-round QB sit a year or two and learn are long gone. For two reasons: (1) the ridiculous bonus money they're getting paid; and (2) the immediate success of guys like Roethlisberger, Ryan and Flacco in recent years.

Not that long gone.

Extenuating circumstances, given they also had Brett whatshisname ...

Carson Palmer can be added to this list as well. And he was sitting behind Jon Kitna, hardly a future Hall of Famer.

It was one of the few smart decisions the Bengals have ever made.
