Tommy - Think how angry you will be when the Seahawks beat the Bears. Will Romo get shot in Dallas if that happens?

Won't happen. We've forgiven Romo for his transgressions on the Cowboys ranch. Just think how lucky Seattle fans must feel to even be here :D

I am sure they are happy - I am. I just think it is funny that everyone is acting like the Bears have already won the game. Is the spread still at 9 points?

For the life of me, I don't understand the lean toward the Saints here. The experience edge is totally with Philly. New Orleans has NEVER been here before. And if anybody's going by the Giants staying close to the Eagles ... that's a very bad way to pick a game.

Philly has done next to nothing wrong since McNabb went down. (Well, after that first week.) Hell, they even won with their No. 3 quarterback. This is a team that is absolutely primed for a playoff run.

Well, the Saints did beat them once, though the Eagles are playing better now. Won't help the Eagles to lose a starting cornerback going into a game with the top offense in the NFC, either.

Both offenses can light it up and both defenses have problems. Should be fun, if nothing else. I'm leaning toward the Saints, too.

Agreed. The Seahawks are far from 100 percent, but so are the Bears. Grossman's problems give Seattle an advantage, too.

I understand what you're saying and the lack of respect the Hags are getting is great. I'd be ticked off if I were a fan of them too. However, I just don't see the Bears losing to a team that slipped into the next round on someone else's mistake. AND, I think your secondary won't be able to put up another great performance.

When Rex Grossman gets benched and Brian Griese falls to a career ending injury, Moses Moreno will step on the field and split it in half causing all the Seahawks' defensive players to fall through the crack.
Final score: 3-0 Bears

See that is where I think you are wrong. The secondary won't have to have a great performance because it won't be going up against TO and Terry Glenn, it will be going against highly sketchy Rex Grossman and the Bears receivers, who I can't even name.
If the Seahawks get good pressure on Grossman, which is entirely possible, then I think it will come down to the ability of the Seahawks offense to move the ball and I think they will be able to. With Darrell Jackson back, the offense is quite lethal.
Plus, the Seahawks have playoff experience up and down the roster and all the Bears have is a bunch of first-round losses.

See, it really is all about Rex. When he's on top of his game, he's very good. I think I heard someone say earlier that he has more games this season with a QB rating over 100 than anyone else in the NFC. Of course he also has more games under 60. The points is, if good Rex shows up, lights out. If it's bad Rex, then there's a ball game.

That would be Mushin Muhammed and Bernard Berrian as receivers for the Bears, and both are pretty dangerous if Grossman can get them the ball. Receivers aren't the problem in Chicago. It's the guy trying (and lately failing) to get them the ball.

I agree with the comment about the Giants - NY always plays Philly well. With Lito Sheppard out, the Eagles playing six days after the Giants game, the Saints coming off a bye and at home and New Orleans getting back NT Hollis Thomas, even I as an Eagles fan know the odds are against Philly winning this one. However, thankfully I'm off Saturday night and will at least get to watch (and yell at my TV a little).

Angola, good point, but Mushin Muhammad is no slouch either.

Yeah, Muhammad has never been to a playoff game or a Super Bowl.

And the Seahawks have a long tradition of going deep into the playoffs. The Kingdome used to rock the ears of the non-believers.

Muhammad was on the Bears last year (if I'm not mistaken) and I'm pretty sure he was in a few playoff games with the Panthers.

Keep drinking that Kool-Aid.

And my bad that I couldn't remember the Bears' receivers. Fact is they aren't as good as the Cowboys' and the Seahawks shut them down.

There's only one person currently driving the Kool-Aid bandwagon around here, Angola.

Most Bears fans understand the Jekyll and Hyde factor that Grossman presents, and thus we're not getting all fanboy on message boards. It's pretty simple, like Dreamer said, good Grossman equals likely Bears win, bad Grossman likely equals Bears loss. Which one will show up? Who knows? If I knew, I might be more inclined to follow your lead and rattle off my expert prognostications and analysis. As it is, I'll just back away and keep my fingers crossed.

Grossman isn't as bad as people think. The weather on Sunday should limit both passing games.

Bears win. Not 37-6, but they still advance.

Sorry for making a joke about DyePack's ranting on other threads about Kool-Aid.
I never said I was an expert, I just find it so amusing that everyone assumes that if good Grossman shows up it automatically means a loss for the Seahawks.
The Bears aren't the same team defensively that they were with injuries and the Seahawks aren't the same as when they first played.
My bad for "spouting" that I think the Seahawks have a better chance then they are being given.
That is all.

Weather forecast:

Sun
Jan 14 Light Wintry Mix
34°/29° 60% chance of moisture

You are right Dye, the weather will effect the passing so it will come down to the running games and defense. Should be interesting.

Saints 30, Eagles 9 (Bush: runs for TD, returns kick for TD, throws for TD, catches TD)
Ravens 17, Colts 0 (Manning breaks an ankle in the 1st quarter)

The next game is the toughest. Great game.
Chargers 28, Patriots 24 (Chargers make goal-line stand on final play of the game)

Bears 14, Seahawks 6
Eagles 27, Saints 24
