We've needed some good news around here. He got down on his knee by the reflecting pool and popped the question. This after visiting her folks yesterday. After she said yes, they drove to my office to show me the ring (and for her to tell me she really said yes).

My Facebook friends can check out the pix. Because, yeah, I'm that guy.

Yes, I helped him find a photographer. A former full-timer here (which all of us may be before too long!!) who now freelances in the area. He had to work out some ruse to get her to the reflecting pool on an NFL Sunday. She's a big fan and still alive in her fantasy league (NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR FANTASY LEAGUE) but he pulled it off. Even if she was an hour late.

I told him to get used to that.

He just called again. Nice to hear the excitement in his voice.
