My assertion from this discussion on the baseball running thread (which, it appears, Conlin is trolling for material):
None of the discussion on that thread or this one has changed my mind. Congrats to Jamie if he gets to 300 wins, but no way should he be a Hall of Famer.If he gets to 300 -- and I think that's a big if -- he may very well define the line between in and out. With 300 wins, he's right there with Phil Niekro. But Niekro's ERA is nearly a run lower and he has almost 1,000 more strikeouts than Moyer, who has never led the league in one positive category and has six seasons with ERAs over 5.00. Even with 300 wins, I don't think this is a hard no vote.
