Is Allen Iverson a punk for quitting on his team, or, in today's me-first world is he justified in demanding a trade to a contendah?

Definitely justified. He carried this crappy franchise on his back his whole career. He took a team that had Eric Snow as it's second best player to the finals.

Justified? What the **** has Iverson ever won? What the **** has Iverson ever done but be for Iverson?

Punk...thug...criminal...misogynist...LOOSER!

He didn't win a championship but face it spnited, he's NEVER had a surrounding cast/great player around him. In the Sixers' "glory" years with Iverson, he was surrounded with guys like Aaron Mckie,Eric Snow, and Matt Geiger.
Secondly, this guy isn't a center or power forward. He's a 6'0(he's listed at that but he's really around 5'9) point/shooting guard. That's amazing.

Chuck, buddy, I like you and this is not intended to make you feel bad, but this is starting to sound REALLY familiar.

Georgetown's all-time leading scorer when he left
Two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year
World University Games Gold Medalist
1st Overall Draft Pick
Rookie of the Year
League MVP
Two-time All-Star Game MVP
Olympian - and one who spoke out about players not wanting to win enough
Survived 11 seasons in the NBA at six-feet tall (if that)
Four-time scoring champ (as a six-foot guard)
Brought a poop team to the finals

He hasn't done much.

And I guess Charles Barkley sucks, too. After all, he never won an NBA Championship.

I know, I know but that's what I believe. But I will say this. On the field/court, Michael Vick couldn't hold AI's jockstrap.
You might not agree with me on the Vick thing, but you have to look at what AI has done.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention coach-killer!

I'm not questioning Iverson's ability. Just everything else about his personality

He's done some stupid stuff in the past. But he's alot more mature than the old days.

He had his spats with Larry Brown, but in the end, they worked it out.

... ringer for my NBA Fantasy Team, um, in the first 5 weeks of the season.

... little sh!t for my NBA Fantasy Team, um, NOW with his a$$ on the bench.

Chuck, how does missing 20 shots a game help his team? His supporting cast was never Laker-esque, but he had some decent role players around him that could pick it up when he was ice cold. But all he does is dribble dribble dribble, go to the hoop and miss a layup, or misfire on a 3. And his attitude kills his team. If I were an NBA GM, the first thing I would do is hang myself, but if they cut me down first, I'd make sure never to let him near my team.

The list of individual honors goes on. And the list of team successes is incredibly short. Me thinks you're making their point on accident.

You're telling me that those players could've picked it up when he was ice cold? I never knew Eric Snow was a great mid range shooter.
Secondly, I find it hard to believe that if all a guy does is "dribble dribble dribble,go to te hoop an dmiss a layup, or misfire on a 3" that he could come up with these numbers:
Year PPG
96-97 23.5
97-98 22.0
98-99 26.8
99-00 28.4
00-01 31.1
01-02 31.4
02-03 27.6
03-04 26.4
04-05 30.7
05-06 33.0
06-07 31.2
Career 28.1

Oh yeah, the guy is listed at 6'0(he's actually shorter).
