So the same day my shop lays off 30 people, we run a front-page story about a locally based bank that lays off 70. Yet no published word on our blood-letting, a week before Christmas no less. I was told we're trying to sweep it under the rug. ****ers.

Were we a tad fat? I suppose. Thing is, the middle-management ****s were spared. I guess the poor timing was an accounting gig for the books at the end of the year.
