How far do you think you could jog?

I don't remember which Bill Murray movie this is from:

"Do you run?"

"Only when chased."

My longest run at one time is 16 miles. Most miles in a day is 20. Most in a week in the 80s. Right now I could go about 3-5 miles before falling over and dying.

I'm a runner, and generally do 20-25 a week with a long run currently at 11 miles. I could probably go up to about 15 if I pushed myself.

I've done a 10-mile race, reealllly slowly, a few times. When I finish, I'm always amazed at people who run marathons. Like a previous poster, for me conditioning wouldn't be the only barrier. At 55, my hips are ready to detach and my achilles tendons are playing "Dueling Banjos" after about 7 miles. Twenty-six-point-two I could not do, without borrowing someone else's body. I might be able to slog through a half-marathon without crippling myself. But I haven't.
