How close (or far) do you live from where you were born?

I'm thinking I'm about 250-300 miles from home, though it feels like 9,000 since it requires a drive through Chicago to get there.

The furthest was whatever Z-Man wrote down ... 991 miles. We shared a room back then, so I'll say I was a foot further away.

Georgia, Georgia
The whole day through
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind
I said a Georgia, Georgia
A song of you
Comes as sweet and clear as moonlight through the pines
Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in the peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you
I said Georgia, oh Georgia, no peace I find
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind

Yeah, really, unless there's some numerology thing we can't figure out.

About 20 miles. I went to college 113 miles away from where I grew up, and maybe 125 from where my mom lives now. Any wonder why I'm not inclined to relocate?

Mapquest says I'm 669.71 miles from where I was born.

My previous job, much further south: 626.61

Job before that: 394.77

Then again, I moved from where I was born when I was 5. So you know, no real lure there.

I live 358 miles from where I was born and get homesick often. Thanks for posting the lyrics to this song, Luggy. This song reminds me that if I ever were to move home, I'd truly miss Georgia.

51 now, which is the farthest. I can't envision living anywhere else.

That's wild to me.

I take it you went to school in the area as well?
