Just for grins, I checked and I'm 2500 miles from my mother's house. Hmmm. I thought I was closer.

I'm thinking I'm about 250-300 miles from home, though it feels like 9,000 since it requires a drive through Chicago to get there.

The furthest was whatever Z-Man wrote down ... 991 miles. We shared a room back then, so I'll say I was a foot further away.
