Sad to see no Tuesday night Sun Belt game. But still, never too early for story lines:

--BYU should get past TCU and head into the Utah game unbeaten.
--Would not be shocked if Tech squeaks by or loses at A&M
--I think Maryland knocks off Wake
--Georgia creams Vandy
--USC scores at least 63 on Washington State
--Wouldn't be surprised if Navy beats fraudulent Pitt
--Ohio State beats Sparty in a close one
--Oklahoma creams Kansas
--Stars are aligned for Missouri to upset Texas. But I suspect the Longhorns will win and the schadenfreude will be heavy.

Unless there is really bad weather - I expect Holy Cross to beat Dartmouth by at least 3 TD's. Crusader coach Tom Gilmore is 4-0 against Dartmouth and I'd bet anything it's 5-0 after Saturday. HC QB Dominic Randolph continues to make a strong push to win the Walter Payton Award and follow Harvard's Ryan Fitzpatrick's path to the NFL.

-- Like the BYU pick.
-- I see Tech blasting A&M
-- Fear the Turtle.
-- Agree about Georgia.
-- Not so sure about USC scoring that many.
-- Ohio State wins close.
-- Oklahoma wins big.
-- Mizzou rebounds for a big win.
-- I'd love to see VT pick up the win at BC, but I doubt that's gonna happen.
-- Watch out for Ole Miss upsetting the Bammers.

One of the biggest games this week is Penn State at Michigan. Doesn't seem like a big game, but the Nit Lions haven't beaten Michigan since Clinton's first term.

Grampy loses this one and he might as well quit now.

Looked at the Yahoo pick em group... USC is giving Wazzu 42 points; Penn State is giving Michigan 23.5... that's just sad

- Agreed.
- I would.
- Sheesh, I don't know how anyone can pick Maryland games this season.
- Vandy didn't do themselves any favors by getting noticed. But this is still a trap game for the Dawgs, with LSU/UF looming.
- I dunno, USC seemed on serious cruise control last week. When Carroll isn't trying to hang 90 on the board for no good reason, there's something up.
- Big East. Tee hee.
- Sure.
- Yeah, I've watched some Kansas this year and am seeing a lot of diminishing returns. Boomer Sooner's path to the national title game will take two Texas losses now.
- Horns win a shootout.

Slappy isn't going to mention Western/Central? Each team plays Ball State at the end of November. Whichever team wins, has a chance to beat Ball State, win the MAC Championship and end up ranked- possibly in the top 20. Of course, they all could go 1-1 against each other and it could be a huge mess.

Anyway, my money is my avatar this weekend.

Speaking of trap games .. this could be a trap game for Alabama
Heading into T-Town, the Rebs might find themselves able
to trade punches with bunch of Saban-led Tiders who could be
gazing ahead to Tennessee.
Not likely, but perhaps a trap game for No. 2-rated UA.

You'll see one of M's best efforts of the season. Though at that spread, it may not matter.

If they don't play any better than they did against Kentucky, they'll lose.

But they can play better (obviously), and should, and probably will.

A&M is by far the worst team in the Big 12. Not saying Tech is legit, but aTm is really ****ing bad.

This is how they celebrate big wins in Toledo!

Toledo wide receiver Nick Moore of suburban Columbus was charged with disorderly conduct, because police said the senior and team captain was fighting with another man.

Defensive end Albertson Alexandre was charged with obstructing official business, also a misdemeanor. The police report said the junior from Miami ignored commands to leave the area.

Just think what they'd do if they beat someone good.

You might be right. I have a hunch KU losses this one, but stuns Texas next month in Lawrence.

Game is in Happy Valley, isn't it?

Ole Miss will be a good test, but not really a trap game. Most Bama fans are more nervous about this one than the trip to Knoxville. Snead may be able to complete enough passes that it won't matter when the Rebels can't run the ball. But this is still going to be a double-digit Tide victory.
