The Henson doc was very good. Appreciate how it wasn't a total fluff piece -- it did talk about Jim's fracture with his marriage and devoting too much to work.

The Beach Boys doc (also on Disney+) was underwhelming. Much more of a glorification piece. Barely went into the fracture of the group (the Mike Love faction vs. Brian Wilson). Briefly touched on Charles Manson, but nothing on Brian's personal issues. For some reason, it also stopped short of the group's Kokomo-era rebirth, and the deaths of the other two Wilson brothers.

Also talked about how he didn't do enough to take care of himself (working too much) and apparently died when he could've been treated and been OK.

One of craziest things to me was the absolute VIOLENCE of the early Muppets, when they were doing the D.C. show. Cartoon violence of course, but really struck me funny.

Watched Let the Canary Sing on Paramount+ last night. It was...slight in some ways. I've been a fan since the 80s and have always loved her voice and creative edge.

For those who grew up in that generation, the documentary on LeVar Burton and Reading Rainbow (now on Netflix) was also very well done.

But you don't have to take my word for it.

I watched the Apple doc on the Lennon murder. I don't recommend it. Highly irresponsible.

Recommend "I'm Just Here for the Riot," a look at what happened in downtown Vancouver after the loss in Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final. Interesting to me as a hockey fan and Canada-phile.

Lets the police off a little too easy (seems an expectation of something closer to worst-case scenario would have been wise). And the final 15 to 20 minutes, when some of the prominent bad actors are given the podium to talk about the butt hurt they suffered from social-media backlash, left me shaking the noggin.

Lots of great clips. And everyone on that list who was alive in 2018 was interviewed. I found it to be an enjoyable 90 minutes.

I watched a minute— literally— and it looked like Alex Trebek interviewing other game show hosts, many of whom are Trumpists. So **** that.

Man, I need to watch that Pete Rose one. Saw the clip where they asked him at what point did he "cross over" and make the decision that it was now OK for him to bet on baseball, and he sort of low-key snapped on the interviewer. That is a bad person, and I have zero issue with keeping him out of the Hall.

Intrigued by the "murder of Steve McNair" one that's coming out soon. Fascinating story.

1) I didn't do it (unconvincingly)
2) I didn't do it very much
3) Nobody told me it was wrong
4) everybody else does it
5) it's really not a big deal
6) it was a long time ago
7) OK, I did it, I did it a lot, but that's because I'm the Hit King, I do what I want
