At least they’re day games during November, when the temperature is tolerable in Arizona.

UW had an early afternoon kickoff in Tempe on Oct. 8, with a temperature of 90-plus. One of the Huskies’ two losses (granted, their garbage pass defense was the reason more than the heat).

Utah has been ranked in the top 20 all season. They're not Georgia or Ohio State, but they're not a pushover by any means.

Utah was # 20 when it defeated USC. Utah presently is ranked #10 and will likely be in the top 20 at the end of the regular season. Where it's ranked at the end of the season is a far better indicator of how good a team is than in week 5 or 6.

But yes, Tennessee (UT is in Austin) and Michigan/Ohio State will have better losses than USC's, if all finish with one loss. The big difference is, USC will be a conference champion, and Tennessee and Michigan/Ohio State will not have even advanced to their conference's championship game.

All the more reason to expand the playoffs.
