Now another set of Cougars is on the clock. BYU down late to Kansas, which finished off Iowa State's Big 12 title hopes last week and is trying to throw another turd in conference's punch bowl.
FWIW, Kansas plays Colorado next week.

Texas is a fraud.
They’ve beat nobody. Only good team they have played is Georgia. AtM takes them behind the woodshed later this month.

You could say the same about Penn State. Their best win is against, Wisconsin? West Virginia in week 1?

Miami, Notre Dame, BYU and SMU have also piled up a lot of wins against a lot of meh.

Miami's best win is Louisville. Same with SMU.
Notre Dame's is Texas A&M. (Followed by a home loss against Northern Illinois.)
BYU beat SMU.

Because of the new conferences with many more members than there football games in a season, there will be scheduling vagaries as cited by maumann in the post above every year. But they will switch from year to year, too. The SEC is crammed with two-loss teams of considerable merit because in 2024, it had many head-to-head games between its best/better teams. Meanwhile the Big 10 to the 10th power has seen Indiana, who I believe is a good team, go undefeated because it hasn't played a conference power yet (That ends Saturday). Ohio State had to play Oregon on the road. That's probably why they lost. Next year, they may have more creampuffs in their diet, with the chewier meals played in Columbus.
