Enough about this drug-testing bull****. If I wanted to think about peeing into a cup, I'd drink some apple juice and fire it up.

The man is on the verge of No. 714. Will he play tonight? Will he get it tonight? Don't you hear that thought echoing in that head of yours? No, don't give me that Mr. Edgar Friendly ****. It's Bonds, tying Ruth's record, and you damn well know it.

I could give two squirts of ****. Echoing in my head?

Helluva mancrush there, DP.

Actually, Whitlock had this amazing speech on Rome Is Burning today. He said he didn't care about enhanced performances by a singer when he buys a CD, so why should this be any different?

Bravissimo, JW. I had a slice of chocolate torte in your honor.

Comparing the music industry to baseball. That's priceless Whitlock. Way to go.

At least he could've made a reasonable comparison, like saying he didn't care if someone lip synched during a
live concert.

I haven't read Whitlock's column calling for Carl Lewis to give his tainted and unearned Gold Medal back to Ben Johnson, who thoroughly kicked ass.

Tonight it's burrito night with root beer and a side of Bonds going yard a time or two.

No. 714 -- it's only a day away. Hey!

Ohman pitching; Bonds coming up this inning.

The Cubs are just painful to watch.

So funny to read a column one day saying the fans don't care, then a different voice saying they do care ... comical.

Question: Outside of Bonds, who was the biggest abuser?
I would have said Giambi at the AS break last year ... but without roids, he's actually playing well

Biggest abusers: McGwire and Sosa.

Has it been proven either of them used?

Bonds' last AB:

With runner at first, sends a popup about a mile high to Kent at 2nd. Kent drops it (looked to be accidental, but I'm not 100 percent sure), gets the runner at 2nd and Barry BAAAAARELY beats the relay to first (I think he was out). And remember, it was popped up about a mile high.

Heard San Fran broadcast on ESPN radio driving home and they said Barry Balco was walking toward the dugout, not even thinking about running it out, when Kent dropped it, then had to bust his as to barely avoid a DP.

Lazy, chemically-enhanced Scumbag!

Called out looking in the first. Due up fourth in the third, coming up.

He's hitting in the No. 3 hole today, first time he's done that in about 250 games, Scully said.

Well, I'm about to turn off the computer for the first time in days and come up out of the basement. :D

The man is trying again for history. Let's wish him well.
