OK; Me and two others working a high school varsity boys league game.

These two teams don't like each other one little damn bit.

2-point game; 57.7 left in the game. Home-team down.

I'm under the basket.......ball gets stripped before contact is made. No call.

Coach goes nuts.....wants a foul......I say "NAY, GAWD-DAMMIT, NAAAAAAAAYYYYY"......go to the other end.

Foul called on home team by official in center spot (not me); home-team coach goes mental.....leaves the coaches box.

Official (NOT ME) gives the foul, and notices that the coach is a few steps out of the coaches box, and proceeds to give the coach a T.

On his court......on Senior Night.........in a 2-point game.......

Oh ****.

Home team ends up losing by 5.

Of couse, it didn't help that home team at one point missed 8 FREE THROWS IN A ROW.

Then again, you're the only other person that liked my writing irish is sad thread, so that figures

Chef, you lead the league in writing thread titles that guarantee the thread will be read.

There's probably a job in that, some fancy web search prominence efficiency something. You should look into that. Just don't wear open-toed sandals to the interview.

Chef, ever watch the "BME Pain Olympics"? If you ever need help with ball deflation, check it out.

Like Andy Richter's sitcom, it just didn't get a chance...

No.

No.

I have no desire to watch some guy cutting off his own **** just to say he did it.

It's been widely debunked as fake, but still perhaps the most disturbing thing ever.

Didn't we do a "most horrifying videos on the web" thread once? I got into an I-can-top-that war with a friend, and I have seen things no one should ever seee.

Chef, if you ever get tired of starting threads about games you ref, feel free to just PM them straight to me. ;D

Had he already been out of his box and/or was a warning given earlier in the night about it?

And spare the rest of us.

Shouldn't let the fact that it is senior night or a home game or that it is late in the game influence your decision to make or not make a call.

Nothing really to add other than to say that "balls" is a really good exclamation of frustration.

Had an old boss who would exclaim it whenever something would go wrong with his computer. He'd have this blank look at the screen for a few seconds, then, "Aw, balls!"

It's a good release and won't necessarily bring you the stares that '****' or '****' would.
