My bet is Doc isn't back on the bench next year.

Is this some tongue in cheek thing from another thread that I haven't read, or an actual serious statement...?
Michael_ Gee said:They didn't give Doc an expensive contract extension to fire him after year one. They'd have kept him if the Celts had been eliminated by the Hawks. He might leave on his own hook, but he won't be fired.
For what reason would Doc not be back next year?Chef2 said:The way they got ****-housed at home Thursday night.....that won't sit well.

Hasn't he talked about retiring in the past?
Big Circus said:I've done approximately zero draft research. I know Davis will be the top pick, and that's it. So I ask...is there any chance Austin Rivers falls to the Celtics?

I'm assuming Allen's gone next year, but can still see this team making a big run. I think the key to next year may be down the bench - Etwaun Moore. While a bunch of guys were hurt, he exploded off the bench to lead a rally from 27 down at Orlando to win a midseason game. He landed back on the bench, but he did about as much as Avery Bradley did last year. If he can make the step in his second year hat Bradley did...and even this year, Bradley didn't get his chance until injuries hit.
