Didn't like the laugh track, but the Toby Keith song was pretty damn funny. And yes, I think Keith knew it was a joke.

Actually, it wasn't a laugh track. Colbert said on Fresh Air last week that they taped all the segments separately, beginning in mid-fall, then showed the completed program to a studio audience, which is where the laughs came from.
